Evil Dud is a self-published series of comic books about suburban life in a world of everyday monsters.
Story
Years ago, a troublesome Cascading Event caused some problems in the Inlet and Islands. That’s all been cleaned right up, and now it’s a perfectly safe suburban family dreamland: Affordable housing, great schools, all the food and shopping options of the big city. Plus, every child gets free ZOMFU training, so you really don’t have to worry too much about monsters stealing their lunch or maybe killing them.
In this idyllic middle-class hellscape, the daughter and son of a remarkable family are gradually discovering the forces behind the Inlet and Islands–and maybe the rest of the world as well.
Volumes
There are currently 4 volumes of Evil Dud. Volume 5 will be available in April, 2021.
Uniquely Graphic and Novel
Evil Dud is created using a unique film/graphic hybrid. Each foreground and background is composed and shot with a camera, then we manually remove everything down to the basic lines and rebuild individual details and shading in both the foreground and background separately.
It’s a lot of work.
